We heard about Facebook Insights, Twitter analytics, Google analytics, and other great softwares that measure data. Al-Jazeera, the middle east largest news network, launched a Twitter dashboard that illustrates what is being tweeted about in 4 different countries that are currently going through an uprising/revolution (you decide).
The data is quite amazing to watch, and truly reveals the role Twitter is playing in the current events in the Middle East. The dashboard measure the total tweets per country, tweet per minute (which is quite interesting to watch), a graph of total tweets for the day, a hashtag distribution for each country getting the most attention in the Twittersphere, and a Twitter stream of all tweets related to the four countries highlighted.
I really like the layout of the dashboard, which makes it very easy to figure which is what, even if you haven’t used Twitter in your life. Check out the Al-Jazeera Twitter Dashboard here .
